I was panicking about my future, particularly about my internship as I told you before. I applied as many internships as possible, hoping that I could at least pass one of the tests held by various organizations hiring. Continue reading

Spiking New Ideas

Wired news site said that Elon Musk — the one that founded PayPal, Tesla and SpaceX — has a radical idea that he wants to merge human brains with AI — he even launched a company just for that purpose. Honestly, I disapprove this idea and hope that someone powerful will spike this idea from becoming a reality. Continue reading
Healing Completely

We’ve all been wounded one way or another. We came to this world flawlessly but life taints us physically and emotionally. We make mistakes, sins, and follies that could have been avoided had we listened, learned, and thought more before we took actions.
Unfortunately, our brains remember bad things more easily than the good ones. Thus, we often can’t move on to the more pressing issues at hands rather than remembering the pasts that wounded us deeply. And the more we remember, the more we get wounded. Continue reading
A Fortune Well Spent (April Fool’s Day)
Fortune is often associated with a huge amount of money or wealth. When I was rather innocent, I had a dream to use my fortune to help people. Sounds cliché but what did I know? Most people would rather spend them on luxury items such as fast cars, beautiful mansions, and sophisticated technology.
But this is April Fool’s day I’m talking about. And some of the biggest companies in the world are spending their fortunes to prank people — I only know who make the pranks — in an intelligent way. I envy them; it turns out that you can spend your fortunes in a fancy way that can make people laugh and entertained. Or maybe get their intelligence insulted, who knows.
Acceptance of Choice

This is a picture of the arguably one of the most famous college in Indonesia, if it still is. This college is surprisingly small, compared to college like Universitas Indonesia or Universitas Gadjah Mada. But, the circumstances that led me here was rather complicated.
I was accepted for a 4-year scholarship at Universitas Telkom because I was ranked at the third place when they held some kind of acceptance test. I have to admit, it was out of luck and though my parents were so proud of me, I felt hollow. It was —sorry if I’m being too cocky — too easy. Continue reading
Controversy over New Public Riding Policy

I want to keep this short and sweet, so I’ll just elaborate the new public riding controversy in Indonesia.
Some of our public ride drivers — we call it Angkot — held several protests towards our government demanding justice be delivered toward the so-called sharing economy companies, like Uber and Grab as depicted from the picture above.
I didn’t follow the news frequently, but from what I gathered, those protesters wanted those companies to have a system like they do — I’ll explain below.
And guess what, they got it. And more.
Immerse in Working

The future is uncertain.
That’s what I’m thinking. I’m also thinking, how can I immerse myself in work that I don’t know whether I’ll enjoy it or not?
“Work with all your energy and passion so that you can help many people,” my parents used to say, “And more importantly, keep giving your family a decent life. Right now you live in decency; wouldn’t you do the same for your family?”
Tired of Ruminating
I was ruminating about the purpose of life.
A Blurry Future

I used to believe my mother’s saying. She told me to get excellent grades so I could get a great job in the future.
She was right. There are jobs that require a certain minimum scores of GPA to even be allowed to apply. But there’s just one problem.
How do I apply for jobs if I don’t know what I want to be in the future?
