Conquer Caffeine Addiction

What Caffeine Does to Your Body

Picture above is taken from Business Insider is thorough enough. A no-brainer conclusion that can be deducted from above is simply that caffeine brings harm more than good. I was certain that I won’t be addicted to caffeine for the rest of my life. Believe me, I was very naive.

I didn’t think that college life would give me much burden. Yeah, maybe some assignments to do and difficult tests, but nothing I couldn’t handle. In fact, I am addicted to it — or let’s say dependent, if you wish. Continue reading

Controversy over New Public Riding Policy

Grab and Uber

I want to keep this short and sweet, so I’ll just elaborate the new public riding controversy in Indonesia.

Some of our public ride drivers — we call it Angkot — held several protests towards our government demanding justice be delivered toward the so-called sharing economy companies, like Uber and Grab as depicted from the picture above.

I didn’t follow the news frequently, but from what I gathered, those protesters wanted those companies to have a system like they do — I’ll explain below.

Massive Universe

Pinnacle Galaxy

The universe is massive.

That’s what I’m thinking until now. Universe is ridiculously massive. There are many galaxies out there; even the galaxy where we are today — Milky Way — mostly still unexplored.

I found out about the universe for the first time when I was in elementary school, particularly in Religion class. You know it — teachers preaching about the divinity of God. One things lead to another, that teacher explained that universe was one of the God’s best creation. Because it is.

Barrett said that our instinct is created for environment much like 10,000 years ago.

Immerse in Working

Work

The future is uncertain.

That’s what I’m thinking. I’m also thinking, how can I immerse myself in work that I don’t know whether I’ll enjoy it or not?

“Work with all your energy and passion so that you can help many people,” my parents used to say, “And more importantly, keep giving your family a decent life. Right now you live in decency; wouldn’t you do the same for your family?”

Recording Songs

For the record, I was already going to make a review about: Tidal vs. Spotify. But I assume that would be too complicated and too long to be put in any blog.

Simply put, if you’re already satisfied enough with AAC 320kbps, go for Spotify. But if you’re an audiophile which has very sensitive ears and want to experience the best sound quality — that is, FLAC 1,411kbps — then Tidal is the obvious choice.

Fun fact: Spotify subscription price in Indonesia is cheaper than in Singapore. I’m both happy and sad because this implies that Singapore is more prosperous than Indonesia — which is quite apparent.

Music Pattern

Guitar Pexels Photo

Patterns are beautiful. I think they represent orderliness that can be recognized as something beautiful — though sometimes can be boring.

Some patterns are created scrupulously to last for a lifetime and withstand obsoleteness. It goes without saying that our lives’ patterns should be the same — orderly, meaningful, and purposeful. Same goes for music.
